Many people assume that the skin can be peeled layer by layer like an onion. This is not the case. When viewed under a microscope, the skin is actually a series of hills and valleys with old and new cells constantly shifting.

The DMK Skin Remodeling Peel is a slightly deeper peel than the Pro Alpha Six Layer - the entire RP program takes approximately 10 days. This program includes two Remodeling Peel applications and two mandatory lift-off enzyme treatments. Revitosin (home care retinol) must be in use for 10-14 consecutive days prior to procedure. It is recommended to start with the Six Layer Peel unless you have extremely oily skin, excessive sun damage, very deep wrinkles, or have been on an established DMK home regimen and monthly Treatment Program with Michaela.

It is important to note that while most clients are satisfied with just one treatment, some clients may need several treatments over time to achieve their desired results depending upon their skin type and condition.

What is the Treatment Process?

Prior to scheduling your Pro-Alpha Six Layer Peel or Remodeling Peel, you must receive at least two DMK Enzyme Treatments to prep the skin.
Once your Peel is scheduled, you will be given prescribed homecare that will include a retinol to prep the skin --at least 10-14 days before the peel.
On the day of your Peel, Michaela will apply layers of the Peel solution. You may experience some stinging or burning during the application of each layer, but these sensations will subside. A fan will also help you feel more comfortable.
After the application, you will leave the solution on your skin and will not wash it off until the evening, or approximately 8-12 hours. Your skin will look shiny and may be pink or red. You will also receive a homecare kit that includes a cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen.
The next morning, you will cleanse the skin and apply the moisturizer and sunscreen from your kit. Should you choose, you may also apply makeup.
Starting on day 3, you may start to see some peeling that will vary from mild flakes to large sheets. Regardless of how severe the peeling is, you must not pick or pull the skin as it will risk scarring or infection.
On the fifth or sixth day, most of the peeling should be completed. This is also the day you are scheduled to come in for your DMK Enzyme Lift Off Treatment which will help remove any residual flakes and promote healthy skin regeneration. Most clients look forward to this day as it hydrates the skin, making it feel less itchy/irritated--a big plus compared to other peels that don't allow you this luxury!
On the ninth or tenth day depending on the type of peel recieved and severity of peeling, you may be scheduled for another Lift Off Treatment.
You will continue to use DMK Home Prescriptives to maintain your results and schedule your regular DMK Enzyme Treatments.
